Re: Anyone have weird rib and/or back pain with cleansing?
I don't know if this will help you, but I will give you my experience.
I am not currently doing an established cleanse. I am doing iodine, high doses, which kicks out a lot of things, including parasites.
I notice that when I do not have enough bowel movements per day to get out the toxins, I will get back pain and side pain. It is really like a muscle spasm, and it seems to be aggravated by gas, perhaps taking up room there. What helped me was to increase my magnesium (and also B vitamins, but I don't know if those helped) to bowel tolerance.
For me, I need three bowel movements per day and sometimes more to get all the toxins out of my body. I know that when I am detoxing I may experience various transient pains here and there and normally don't worry too much about them. But I found I really needed to address these back pains, they are really bothersome. So I don't let them hold me back from moving, for one. For two, I push my water(kidney area, just covering my bases). I am so used to drinking water, that I just assume I am getting enough, but when I count the glasses per day, it doesn't add up to a half ounce per pound, so I become more stringent on that. For three, I take some dolomite (which I use as a calcium/magnesium supplement) and some B-50 whenever I feel that pain. I also take some
Epsom Salts once a day. For four, I watch my posture. I work a lot on the computer, have a laptop, and sometimes am inclined to lie to the side and type, or lie on one side with my elbow propping me up. That seems to exacerbate the problem.
Like I said, I don't know if you can relate to my idea of the incomplete evacuation being a problem. If you read the section on detox in the FAQ section of the
Iodine Supplementation Forum, you will find some really good information on detox, and I have found most of my problems can be solved by taking in more
Sea Salt , upping my magnesium and acidophilus to bowel tolerance, and monitoring my intake(water) and elimination (3x day minimum).
Please post your progress.
