Re: composite fillings

So my question spawned a farcical yet sad argument, but sadly for me, no answers! I was told that composites are bad as well? Is there a place where I can get some FAQ's on how to approach getting my Amalgams replaced? I have an appointment currently to have a quarter of my mouth changed from Amalgams to composites but now I'm wondering if that is the wrong thing to do or if composites are less bad and just a necessary evil which is much better than mercury fillings. Please, any guidance would be much appreciated!
