Update on dad-end of the journey

Hi all,

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile.  It's been a tough month.  Dad passed away on sept. 13th at 4:15 pm as the result of metastatic bladder cancer.  He was at home with all of us holding him as he passed.  He passed with incredible courage, dignity and grace.  This whole experience has been very powerful.  As I reflect on this journey, in my opinion, alternative treatments (along with radiation) added a good 9 months to dads life (quality months).  He only had about 3 weeks of debilitating illness at the very end after brain radiation.  Now it is time to heal.  That's what dad wants.  He has made that evident from the other side on several occasions, but those experiences belong in another forum.  I'm available via e-mail if anyone wants to chat, share or vent.
