mixed emotions about senior discount, n/t

I purchased vitamins today.

The cashier knocked $4 off the price, for senior citizen discount.

I was both pleasantly surprised and troubled, about the senior part of the discount.

Here I am at 52, feeling better than I've ever felt in my life, but apparently I look like I look like I'm over sixty to the kid running the cash register, or something.

I guess I should just buy a couple of organic apples with my savings and be thankful.
