Have any of you gotten...

a strep throat infection since you started on iodine? My DH has a very sore throat and swollen tonsils, and when he gets this, which is often(about 4-5 times a year) Antibiotics are the only thing that will kick it. So, I have been having him gargle with about 7-8 drops of Lugol's in 1/4 cup of water. It does help, however it is not going away. I told him to swallow some of it too, so it can get all over there. He says it is nasty, but does it anyway-but it does really burn his tongue. I am wondering if some peroxide and Iodine mixed would be a better gargle?
