Cabbage is a good cleanser, whether raw or cooked.
The week before I started my MC, I consumed mostly juices. I had 2 meals only, dinner parties I'd been invited to long ago, and at the last one, I was careful to stick to salad and beef (no starches). The night before, I had cabbage and other vegetables in miso soup.
I found this to be a good preparation, as I did not suffer much from solid food deprivation during the first few days - I was already used to it. Plus, I think I'd saturated my body with good-quality nutrients.
I'm on Day 14, and just decided to continue for another week or so.
