Re: estrogen effects on male acne

Unfortunately, too much testosterone gives WOMEN Acne also! I'm sure estrogen would balance it out, but I've never heard of a dr giving estrogen to a male. It seems that dr's rarely think it's possible for a man to have TOO much testosterone (unless perhaps he had a testoterone-driven cancer).

Interestingly, my dermatologist told me about a drug that does bring down test levels, but I'd be hesitant to take any such drug (I would only take bio-identical hormones, rather than the synthetic type prescribed by most) However, if you're interested, the drug is called spironolactone.
