Getting over mono and pain in chest

It has been 7 weeks since I have been diagnosed with mono. (at age 52!) I have had major issues with candida and leaky gut for over 5 years. About 2 weeks ago I experienced major chest pressure. We went to the ER and had all sorts of blood work, CT scans, and etc. of the heart. Everything was normal. But I still have the pain most days. I am wondering after reading everything I could online that this is costochondritis. I thought this was still the mono but it doesn`t seem to be. I think the mono had something to do with it. The bloodwork showed the mono was clear. (run its basic course)
I have some MSM and was wondering what a safe dose would be. Motrin is not helping my digestive problems but that is the only way I have found relief. I had a colonoscopy in Aug. so my colon should be fairly clean.
HELP! This is a new one on me!!
