Well, I am not so sure about the canned pumpkin being more nutritious part. This just might be an add for canned pumpkin...but considering how hard it is to cut up a pumpkin and get that skin off...not to mention getting the puree to be smooth and fragment free and how much pumpkin you end up with...canned is convenient. I used to be a true purist and make pumpkin pies out of, well, actual pumpkins, and it was a LOT of work.
