A number of years ago, there was only one forum, the Christian support forum. Then some people started to post about certain topics that others felt did not belong within Christianity. A bitter battle ensued with respect to what was true Christianity, with one person mainly taking the position that you could hold on to many different beliefs, a kind of syncretism, and still call yourself a Christian. Others who felt that Christianity was firmly based on the Bible could not agree with that premise.

In order to accomodate everyone, and after much tinkering with the names, the Webmster opened up a new forum and called it Enlightened, and renamed the old forum Biblical. This solved many of the old problems, although they still resurface once in a great while.
