To give you a bit of background - I saw many alternative practitioners. I had colonics, stool tests by GP, colonoscopy, endoscopy, sputum tests. All came back with NOTHING (apart from h-pylori bug from hospital test). I felt alone and helpless. I was then put in touch with Great Smokies Labs through a private practitioner I was seeing. The results were QUICK, They took just over two weeks. They found nothing major going on, NO PARASITE OVA, NO WORMS. I got a 4 page printout which I didn't understand. It was very difficult for me to comprehend. I just understood the No Worms, No Ova, No Parasite bit, that was it. It didn't find I had h-pylori bug. I went into hospital for the colonoscopy/endoscopy and this was just after GS test. I had to give three stool samples in all. Each sample had "fixatives" so whether this affected the results I don't know. I was very disappointed in the results. All negative for worms, ova, parasites. I should have enquired about what the tests involved. I'm not entirely sure what they look for but I thought if there was anything "abnormal" going on, they'd find it.

To cut a long story short!! I found the MD Forum and
RHR, I read the site and liked what I saw. I decided to have sputum, stool and urine done. (Wish I'd had blood done too). I found them to be very reasonably priced for what I had done. The tests I believe can take 6-8 weeks, mine took 9 but I believe they took a bit longer due to the significant infection(s)/infestations going on inside of me. The tests seemed quite exhaustive, the analyst told me in the notes I received. This is why I believe RHR found so much going on with me.

So I hope this is helpful if you are thinking about having samples taken.

There's a long list and it's pretty nasty - so be warned!! I've been ill for just over 4 1/2 years now.

Here goes:-

Severe headaches, very faint, dizzy (almost seizure-like), slurred speech at times.
Very blurry vision, with "floaters" in eyes like tiny worms,
Coated tongue, feeling of fever, suffering of nightsweats.
Foul nasal odour ( can be described like ammonia),
Thick sticky mucus up nose, with white stringy stuff,
Coughing up "strange stuff" in mucus,
Cough, wheeziness, sore chest, at times chest pain (with skipping heartbeats, and "fluttering, wriggling" sensation,
Itchy skin, red "track line" marks appearing on skin, also red dot marks,
Wriggling sensation in body, can be in legs, arms, feet, wriggling in abdominal ,area, around ribs,
itchy head, crawling sensation,
Fluttering/rumbling sensation in tummy, intestines,
Irregular stools, covered in mucus/white blobby stuff, sometimes blood,
Burning sensation in bottom, itching,
Trembling sensation throughout body, almost like a vibration, especially in legs. Can sometimes feel like a vibration coming up into throat.

I know this all must sound weird but my symptoms are precise as to what I describe.

I'm sure I've left out a few ??, but that's the basic picture.

I've tried all parasite protocols, kinesiology, scio, you name it I've tried it. I was a regular poster to PForum but unfortunately, after trying most protocols, nothing worked because there's always more going on when it comes to parasites.

For the first 2 years of my illness I paid over 20 visits to my GP, probably more, to no avail. I was given acid reflux tablets !!, then after 1 year was forwarded to hospital for endoscopy, colonoscopy, biopsy taken. Nothing ever showed up. So it goes to prove you can have all these tests done and still nothing can be found. It took time and through help I found RHRPlus. Thank heaven I did.
