Re: Choose

One of the people I am specifically thinking of
was a Vietnam War vet who had fallen through
the Veterans's crack cause I think there are so
many. His life story would have been one of
success if he had not participated in the War,
but he lived in a corner of a work shed of
another business owner, determined in any
way to keep him off the street. He just got
into a routine among a small group of people
who supported him, and for him, this was where
he had found peace and acceptance. The game
was bending over so the government could give
you a cavity search, metaphorically.

He was a happy person, rich in ways, but also
poor in most. He drank to forget....when he
was not drunk, his friends helped him remember
the good person he was.

blessings,
Zoe
