True, but I don't think they care if all of us are fooled, just the majority seems to be all it is taking.  And. humans convincing most other humans that a Capitalist economic system is the only system that will work for mankind was instrumental in gaining power and control over the masses.  That system has been the fuel that has powered our destruction of the earth.  Some Scientists say we have only 10 years to stop polluting so much or we will reach a point of no return.  We are already beginning to see the effects on the earth, but oddly, not much is being done by Big Business and Government.  It seems their attitude is, if something must be done, let the little people make the sacrifices.
