The video is saying that a 4-pack of AA batteries is $5.00. That equals $1.25 for each battery. The 6 volt square battery costs $5.00 and is simply 32 AA batteries in line. Removing them gives you 32 batteries for the same $5.00. That equals $.16 for each battery.

These figures age approximate, but quite a saving.
