Jeffrey Dummett's eyes welled with tears as the jury foreman delivered the verdict today in the NSW Supreme Court.
Mr Dummett, 39, had pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter of Vecko Krsteski, 37, in February 2002.
The Crown had contended Mr Dummett's "gross negligence" led to the death of Mr Krsteski, who lost 11kg in 10 days while on a live-in detoxification program at the naturopath's premises at Oatley, in Sydney's south.
Mr Dummett's barrister told the jury a post-mortem examination revealed Mr Krsteski had a previously undiagnosed severe heart disease.
