HAIR LOSS - THE REAL TRUTH.
I came across these hair loss chat forums as part of my doctorate research into hair loss. I am amazed at the lack of knowledge and the total rubbish that is posted on them. Male pattern hair loss is genetical and triggered by androgens (testosterone, DHT, androstenedione and DHEAsulphate etc)at puberty. The rate is detemined by the persons genetics, and cannot be stopped by shampoos, herbs or any other non-prescriptive medication, no matter what you are told.
When the androgen (testosterone) enters the hair cell in the scalp, it can take one of two biochemical pathways. Firstly, testosterone can be converted by the enzyme 5 alpha reductase
(type 1 or tpe type 2, as it is an isoenzyme)into 5 alpha dihydrotestoserone (DHT), and then enters the cytosol receptor to trigger the biochemical reaction that leads to hair thinning. OR, testosterone itself enters the cytosol receptor and triggers the same reaction. THIS IS BECAUSE THERE IS ONLY ONE ANDROGEN RECEPTOR IN THE CYTOSOL FOR ALL THE ANDROGENS.
Therefore, stopping the action of 5 alpha reductase making DHT by taking Propecia (finasteride = type 2 inhibitor) or Avodart (dutasteride = type 1 & 2 inhibitor), although the latter is better than the former, IS NOT THE TOTAL ANSWER.
THE ANSWER IS TO BLOCK THE HAIR CELL RECEPTOR, so that any of the androgens (testosterone, DHT etc) can not enter. THUS THE HAIR LOSS STOPS, AND PROVIDING THE FOLLICLES ARE STILL ALIVE, REGROWTH OCCURS ALONG WITH IMPROVEMENT OF EXISTING HAIR.
I have researched all the drugs that are available worldwide, and the most effective is TRICHAGEN. This is a 5 alpha reductase inhibitor and an anti-androgen (blocks andrgen receptor sites). Taken in the right doseage, it works well with very little chance of side-effects. YOU WILL NEVER GET ANY DRUG THAT DOES NOT LIST POSSIBLE SIDE-EFFECTS.
SO, stop all the talk about herbs, zinc, shampoos etc, etc, and all that rubbish. GET REAL, would a women expect the pill to work if it was made of herbs, or she rubbed it on her stomach twice daily, or it was a shampoo - NO.
THE SOONER YOU STOP ALL THE RUBBISH TALK, THE SOONER YOU CAN GET TO GRIPS WITH YOUR PROBLEM AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
