Messages From Water
with Dr. Masaru Emoto by Joann Turner
I recently attended an exhibit at Shinji Shumeikai of America, 2430 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena. The interesting and many times beautiful displays were taken directly from Dr. Masaru Emoto’s latest book, Messages from Water.
Dr. Emoto, already fascinated by the nature of water, was inspired by his friend and colleague Dr. Lee Lorenzen, biochemist and developer of “micro-cluster water:” Due to their work together, Dr. Emoto began his study of the properties of water and how human thought/feeling can influence it. Measuring this influence has been a long, complex journey, but at this point, Masaru Emoto has developed a technique for measuring and demonstrating the impact of subtle energies upon water.
High speed photography of crystals formed in frozen water reveal changes in the same body of water after specific thoughts were directed towards it. Small amounts of water (an 8
oz. glass) as well as large areas of water (Fujiwara dam) were used in these experiments and in all cases the water samples reflected a molecular change.
Dr. Emoto used music and visual images to stimulate the water samples. He also exposed the water to words written on paper and photographs placed underneath the glass containers to see if these energies had any impact. They did.
When asked if the intentions of the person pasting the words onto the bottles of water had influenced the experiment in any way, he responded: “This is a difficult area to clarify. However, from conducting these experiments over a period of time, we have come to the conclusion that the water is reacting to the actual words. When we wrote the words “Thank You” and “You Fool” in German, the people on our teams did not understand what the words meant, but the crystal results were exactly the same, based on the words used.
In one experiment, recorded in Messages from Water, a container of water taken from Shinagawa, Tokyo, and unable to form a crystal because of its polluted nature, was placed on Dr. Emoto’s desktop. Associates from all over Japan were then asked to send positive thoughts to the water at a specific time. From this water a beautiful crystal structure was formed, where none was able to form before. From Dr. Emoto’s experience, he felt, “distance would not make much of a difference, and that it was the purity of the intent and/or prayer which would more greatly influence the water.
Also, in his experiments, he found that, “if one person is praying with a deep sense of clarity, the crystal structure would be clear. If a large group were praying, whose intent was not cohesive, the crystal structure would reflect this. However, if everyone were united in their intent, then the crystal formed by that coming together, would be similar to the crystal formed by one person praying with clarity of intent.
When asked what were the most powerful words he had worked with...words which seemed to hold their “message” in the face of conflicting messages, Dr. Emoto responded, “ The words ‘Love & Gratitude’ combined, formed a clear, beautiful crystal and had the ability to withstand change. It seemed to have a higher vibration and could hold its message better than words of a lesser vibration.”
When asked about this “vibration,” Dr. Emoto shared that every word is a name and carries the vibration of the thought or object it represents, and those vibrations can be imprinted into water, causing the water to carry that imprinting to whatever it is poured upon.
Some people have written loving words on bottles of tap water and found that their cut flowers and gardens are lasting longer and seem to be more healthy.
When you think of how much of our Earth and even are bodies are made up of water, the implications of Dr. Emoto’s research is staggering––the impact of our thoughts and feelings are and will be playing a large part in the way our environment is being created, both globally and personally.
“The elementary particle found in the atom has no regularity in modern science. The reason is it changes according to the consciousness level as that of human beings. That is why the root level of matter depends on people’s consciousness.”
