The Bahai religion: Who is Prince Abdul-Berraba Baha?
This religion stems from the Mohammed religion, and believes that Mohammed was one messiah, and that every 600 years another messiah appears and that Abdul Baba is now the present messiah. The Bahai religion also teaches individuals to study all religion and suggests that when you have studied all religions, you will then be a Bahai. It is a good marketing ploy. There is truly nothing offensive about it. It is not extremely fanatical, nor filled with hostility, nor does it make individuals radical. The teachings are moderate and suggest individuals live a decent life. Obviously Christians would not appreciate it, because it would put Christianity in a strange position of having a Messiah that is far outdated in terms of the 600 year cycle, and the Moslems would not appreciate it because it outdates Mohammed.
There are actually quite a number of Bahai's living in society around the world...and because they are admonished to study all religions, they can talk to individuals clearly from whatever religious viewpoint they happen to be discussing. They do not try to push their religion on others. Abdul Baha lived in the 1800s...and was basically an Arab warrior at one phase of his life.
Moslems were out to slay him...and his sword was considered magical. These are the types of legends that often spring up in various countries around folk heroes or religious heroes, according to the values and beliefs of the particular religion, and may not be based on truth at all, but are stories to attract more followers. The present Prince Abdul Baha is not capable of making this claim since the Messiah only appears every 600 years...he could easily be shown to be fraudulent and a false prophet.
