I've seen your postings a few different forums and read about your headaches post liver flushing. I've done about 12 of those liver flushes, very successfully on the first 6 or 8, but not much happened after that. I have headaches chronically almost my whole life, and various things have helped, though I'm still working on it. Part of the piece for me was structural - standard chiropractic never made a lasting difference, but upper cervical chiropractic, getting my atlas adjusted and the resulting spinal unwinding once brain stem pressure was removed has been pretty remarkable. That affects your organs and energy flows. I then had to have a second set of braces on my teeth to undo the first set back in high school. Basically to open things up again and put my gaps back. That also helped, as has craniosacral therapy and bodywork in general, though I'm very lucky in that I'm married to someone who does that for a living. Some of my headaches seem to be from cranial fluid just stuck in my head and not draining. It's supposed to be pumping all the time around your brain and spinal cord, you can do pelvic tilts to help that.
Still can't shake the menstrual headache - but particularly with that one, I notice a strong connection all along the gall bladder meridian. A few times it has been relieved with accupressure on that meridian, but the period headache is almost inescapable for me. It feels very inflammatory.
I was to the point where I was having some level of headache 24/7 every day again the past few years, but recently - just this past month, I've been taking about 2 tsp. of good quality cod liver oil daiy rather than sporadically in the past (and I think the vit-a is more bioavailable if you take it with a saturated fat like butter or coc. oil), plus about 2 tsp. a day of the blackstrap molasses that Moreless recommends (I'm still afraid of the pickling lime) in my usual ACV/water drink in the morning, and now usually in the PM, too. Plus a couple teaspoons of kelp a day, and about 2 months ago I also started something called Super PH minerals (a colloidal from fulvic acid, to the best of my understanding, i.e. from ancient plant material. not rocks per se, but I don't totally understand the process, since ancient usually means fossilized..) In any case, my headaches have been better, knock on wood. My guess is it's the anti-inflammatory properties of the cod liver oil, and I've been more liberal with healthy oils in general, with the idea that it lubricates everything and might help keep the gallbladder and
Liver Flushing out bile. I'm thinking of starting the
Iodine soon, too. And lecithin is supposed to be good for the nerve sheaths, I think, and at times I feel like mine are in overdrive - like too sensitive and too inclined toward pain.
I might be speaking too soon on this one, since sometimes I'll do better for awhile and then worse again for no apparent reason, but so far this feels like a bit of a breakthrough for me. I only had one killer menstrual headache this month (on the 3rd day during the heaviest bleeding) instead of 3-5 days of moderate to severe headache like usual, and I'm not waking up with the "icky" headache every day - today I have NO headache, and I can't tell you how long it's been since my head felt clear. I think minerals and healthy fats are really important, and I probably wasn't getting enough of either. Something must be absorbing, too, because my nails are growing really fast and are harder. I also try to eat a mostly plant based diet, and lately more raw.
I hope something in there helps! I'm still experimenting, myself. There's probably a candida/parasite/bowel health thing connected w/my headaches, too, but not everyone who has those issues gets headaches from it, and the fact that i've been doing better since taking those particular new supplements seems significant to me.
