Quite a few years back, I had to take my son to the emergency room with horrible stomach pain. My sister-in-law and her family had been visiting us then too. The diagnosis for my son was Cryptosporidium. I called my sister-in-law to see if any of them had also been sick, and they had been, with blood in the stools, stomach pain, diarrhea. It came from my family milk cow that had freshened. We never did pasteurize the milk, just drank it raw, and the crypto bacteria was in the milk.
15 years later, I have just recently discovered how
parasite infected I am, and have been expelling animal
parasites that would freak most people out in the last couple of days. I've probably had them for a long, long time. Because of my own infestation, I am now wondering if the cryto bacteria has continued to dwell in my son, along with the other animal
parasites we know we were exposed to, flukes, animal tape worms etc.
I don't even know for sure what they gave my son for that week, whether it was an
Antibiotic to kill the bacteria, or what it was for sure, but I don't think I would self-treat for it, it's a really serious bacteria, and like you said- especially for the young and elderly.
