Yes. From my understanding, you can use a colon cleansing product as an alternative to laxatives... BUT. you have to be careful which colon cleansing product you get. There are some pretty crappy ones out there...
One thing that you need to think about, which may prevent you from using a colon cleanser, is that some of these herbal colon cleansers are a 30 day program. Some can even last up to three months!! In my opinion, thats not a good alternative.
Another thing to be weary of, is the fact that alot of these herbal colon cleanses use some questionable herbs in their blend. Some of these colon cleansing herbs can be dangerous to your long-term health. For example, Senna & Cascara Sagrada can cause bowel dependancy.
Also, alot of these herbs list Constipation as a side effect. So drink alot of water!!
As for Oxygen Colon cleansers, I don't really know much about them. I am looking into a product called oxypowder which is an oxygen colon cleanser. I've read alot of praise on curezone for oxypowder, and how its one of the best colon cleansers, and an alternative to many over-the-counter laxatives.
My advice would be to spend alot of time doing the proper research on colon cleansers, and if oxygen colon cleansing sounds like a good alternative to laxatives, then give it a shot.
Be cautious of this product!* This cleanser contains Senna leaf, psyllium husks, bentonite clay and Cascara Sagrada amongst others. Cascara sagrada has been demonstrated through scientific processes to actually cause serious digestive problems, including worsening symptoms such as diarrhea and constipation rather than relieving them.

I've used Bowtrol. That's the only one I've used. I didn't like it very much, and I wouldn't recommend it. I don't know much about the different herbs, but I read that it has two different ingredients that can cause bowel damage. I don't think Bowtrol worked very well, but I don't really have anything to compare it too.
I have heard good things about both oxypowder and colonix. I'm actually looking to try one of those, but not sure which yet. But everything I've read online was pretty good.
