Hi Prism. The pics you are looking at are still microscopic, and you would not see this very well with the naked eye. However, they are mutations of some sort. Maybe plant, bacteria and nematode rolled into one, or something else entirely. My best guess is that it is part plant part bacteria. Some call them nematomorphs, but there is a real lack of visable organs of any type, so ????
In your case, I have heard of this before, and don't have an answer. Could be a type of fungus. Do you have any other symptoms that would complement this assumption? Any problems with fingernails or toenails for example? shroom

If the ends where squared off then it was most likely a Candida fungus.
