hey everyone!! my name is ashley. i am 23 and from ohio. i'm a pretty outgoing crazy girl and love to talk. now thats been said i have actually been reading this forum for about six months. i finally decided to get the nerve to join and say something.
i have always been obsessed with food and health related issues. I have even battled a very rough battle with bulimia which i have "recovered" from. i first got interested in detoxes, juice fasts, raw food diets, and other related issues awhile back while reading about the
Lemonade Diet . thats where i kinda became obsessed. i was introduced to a whole new world. i never in a million years would have realized all the poisons and toxins that we eat and drink everyday. and i have been a vegetarian since i was ten, well i would occassionally eat chicken and season the last two years. i always thought i was really healthy. then for months i kept learning more and more and just became a whole new person.
i went on a raw food diet, about 80% anyways i am pretty young and like to go out a lot so i do drink alcohol so i took the alcohol and mixers into account and since i do go out a lot that is where the extra 20% came from. i mean i ate nothing but raw veggies, fruits, herbs, and nuts and seeds. it was awesome. i never felt so good. well the last two months i stopped my diet it was too hard, i mean i moved twice was finding new jobs, and blah blah blah lol... anyways i just reintroduced wheat and dressing and tuna fish back into my diet.
i want to do my
Water Fast now. again, believe me i've researched it, but still obviously would love to hear helpfull hints and reminders, and just maybe some people to encourage me and to talk to me.
i will be starting on sunday. ive got my distilled water all ready to go and i'm ready. i have my
Epsom Salt for the million baths i'll be taking. oh, and i plan on doing some light cardio the first couple days because i knwo those will be the hardest and i want to keep my head right. I have ONE MAJOR question though....i want to go swimming a lot while on the detox but i dont know if thats a good idea. i know skin is an important part of the body and idk if the chlorine will be good, i'm assuming very toxic and would be a negative result for my detox and thoughts???? oh and i want to know should i put some salt in my water or not...i know there is such a debate on this issue i just want to again reread some peoples experiences on whether or not it works or not, i guess i want to know about
colonics too....i have tons of pages saved on my computer but i would rather hear from peoples experiences...again lol just to know for sure. i want to do this right and what works best for me.
