Greetings
I have been supplementing with Iodine (50 mg Lugols) since January - worked up to the total 50 over a period of months. I have enjoyed the support from reading the posts in this forum - a wonderful blend of knowledge and camaraderie. Thought I would share how my Lugols is dispensed. I am a patient of Dr. Shevin, so I wonder if this is his unique "recipe";
Iodine (Lugols Diluted)0.5mg/drop solution
Dispensed in 2 brown bottles (100 ml each)
2-4 ml daily (I'm now at 4)
I just completed a retest on the Iodine load today. In January, I was excreting 70%. I "feel" saturated now, so hoping for a 90 this time. I'll know by next week.

If you could share your gender, height, and weight, that would help us alot because I'm not yet aware of a correlation between quantity of Iodine taken and results of a loading test, in general. In your case, we know the level of Iodine supp, and the duration. At the least, can you provide your weight ?

The test is the Iodine loading test, developed by Dr. Flechas. In fact, his lab processes all the tests. This is it, in a nutshell. Discard the first morning urine, take 50 mg iodoral in one dose, collect urine for next 24 hrs (plan to be home that day!) Next morning (last collection), measure amt., fill out paperwork, send sample (FedEx) and await results. If the body is saturated, at least 90% should be excreted in the urine.- Re: A different way to take Lugols archus
