I seriously doubt that. It is far more likely that you had something else going on that you were not paying attention to. Most likely, you had blood loss either internally, or insufficient iron in your diet. Ferritin is a normal store of iron and there is nothing about the flush that would deplete iron. You were most likely deficient of iron and several other minerals before you started.
I get my blood work done annually. Liver Flushing was the only thing different I did between these 2 blood works. I diet remained the same. Hence I concluded this. How could I be deficient in these minerals when I my last blood work said I was not. Blood work in Feb 2006 - every thing normal. Flushed from May 2006 - Nov 2006. Blood work on March 2007. Elevated LDL, lowered HDL and low ferritin. Diet remained same.
Yes, drinking lots of water will remove minerals. It is important to keep your normal mineral content up. Epsom Salt will help remove toxic minerals from the body by pulling water out. This is the purpose for taking it. It, however, does not remove a lot of iron and is not known to cause any significant decrease in ferritin.
I am not sure why my iron levels were low, but they were low as a matter of fact. I do know that lots of diarrhea will cause potassium levels to drop. I try to tre-mineralise my water with good quality sea-salt. Helps keep my mineral levels up.
Did you not bother to read the information out there?
Sadly NO. I was feeling very sick and just started asking questions in LF support forum and gahered the courage to flush. Of course flushing gave me some releif, as all the Epsom Salts must have cleaned my guts out. ( made me weak though). But the symptoms kept returning. It was like a never ending protocol.
I really lost the shine on my face with all those flushes. 13 flushes done over 7 months period. I had sunken eyes. I am feeling a lot better now.
