Okay I thought I would go until the end of the month but my body is telling me enough. So I am heading out to get some Oranges and OJ. I was going to try for 40 days but I am really hungry, weak and I don't feel good mentally.
My plan for after is tomorrow I am heading to central market to shop for my veggies, fruit & ingredients for healthier recipes. I have been craving veggies & salads I don’t know how this is possible because before if a veggie was not deep fried covered in butter or slathered in dressing I could not eat it period. I am trying out the olive oil & vinegar for my dressing & Italian if I have to have some at all. This is going to be rough but I am going to start with the stuff I can eat. To make sure I am getting enough veggies in I plan on doing the green smoothies as well. I have already started my son with them and he likes them okay. I am going to try and incorporate some vegetarian/ vegan meals into our menu in the short term. But eventually plan on eating lots of seafood, chicken and turkey. I had a long time to think about it and I don’t want to live without my meats. Also I love crawfish, crab, lobster, shrimp etc,.. way to much to give it up for good.
I plan on having a healthy 4th. I am grilling salmon and I got my veggie burgers & turkey franks ready & n c s. I also plan on rounding my menu out with corn or baked beans made with molasses & sf low carb bbq sauce. Then I am making faux potato salad made with cauliflower & mustard instead of potatoes. Also making a fruit salad for dessert & a sf jello mold.
Now, I have been researching a more healthy approach for my family. I am giving my son some options because although I don’t plan on eating the chicken and franks I still want him to enjoy his 4th. He has not been on
The Master Cleanse like me so his changes are going to have to be slower. I think its better than the pork & beef and tons of other crap we used to digest every other fourth.
I remember our signature burger. Top grade lean ground round seasoned with burger packets, 3 cheeses, w 2-4 strips of bacon and a pork sausage link(why,..lol) topped with a bit of chili again why??? And we would eat this with grilled potatoes skins with bacon pieces cheese & a dollop of sour cream. Then turn around and have shrimp, steak, ribs, pork chops, chicken, wieners, brats, pulled pork, sausage, & brisket. Along with corn on the cob baked beans, potato salad, mac & cheese, loaded baked potatoes and fried bread. Can you say heart attack & clogged arteries? Sooo you see the menu above is ohh so much better…. LOL
So how did I do well around day 27 my tongue finally got pink and clear. My skin has cleared up a bit. I finally got a bit of that mental alertness not so much clarity. Ummm lets see, I finally started feeling like I had more energy which was so needed you have no idea. My bm are daily w/o any assistance go team! My psychological (head hunger) hunger never really went away. It just turned to healthier cravings I am still puzzled by that? I feel lighter I guess getting rid of 33+ will do that for you lol! From a sz 8/10 to a 4/6 not bad. I really want to maintain at least the 6 so I will be monitoring everything that passes my lips like a hawk!! I am thinking 10 of those lbs will come back immediately but heck 25 ain’t to shabby right! I will consider this cleanse an absolute success when I go back to eating I have more control over what I put into my mouth and also when I put it into my mouth. The major thing I wanted to gain from this was control, control over the overeating. I pray I am successful in that end. And good luck & God speed to all of you, until next time!!
