Contact Lens Solution: Natural Alter...

My girlfriend uses contact lenses in the summer for going to the beach and biking, etc. We both have a real problem with the contact solution and the numerous recalls have cast even more doubt. Does anyone have a recipe or suggestion for a natural solution? I have seen a recipe for apple cider vinegar drops in the Master Clense book, but I was not sure if these were suitable.

Hulda Clark gives this recipe in her book The Cure For All Diseases :
Contact lens solution
A scant cup of cold tap water brought to a boil in glass saucepan. After adding 1/4 tsp. aluminum free salt and boiling again, pour into a sterile canning jar. Refrigerate. Freeze some of it.- Re: Contact Lens Solution: Natural A... #63547

This is a reply to # 899,793Well, maybe you can make your own contact solution -- I wouldn't mind doing that, myself.
But Hulda's recipe you posted is just a simple saline solution. Contact lense solutions also need something in there to cleanse the lense from deposits, make sure it's sterile each time you put them in your eye, and may contain other electrolytes or moisturizers, etc.
