what do you blend in there?is it tasty?
----------------
You can blend just about anything.
The green for life book has about 6 pages of Green smoothie recipes, but I don't care for some of them because they use garlic, onion, etc.
I just blend an assortment of greens. Maybe a cup or so of good water. Spinach, Kale,Celery, Parsley, Cilantro, Wheatgrass, Lettuces (all kinds),etc. and use Apples, or other fruits to sweeten them up. Sometimes I put a jalapeno pepper for a little heat, and an extra Apple
Just about anything that's green, and some that's not, Tomatoes, Carrots. The idea is to mix them up so you are getting nourishment from a wide variety. The recommend drinking about a
quart a day. Mix it all at once, and put in the fridge, then blend just before drinking. If you have a 3hp blender that will do the seeds, that's a plus. You don't get the fiber if you juice them, which is what I used to do.
I recommend that for the money spent that you buy the book. There's a lot of information in it. Also do google searches on "Green Smoothies", Raw foods, etc.
One other thing they mentioned in the book is testing to see if your body is producing enough hydracloric acid. Either with the doctor, or simply by taking a HCI tab with, or after a meal. If you get a burning feeling you probably are. If not next meal take two, then 3 until you get that feeling. If you aren't digesting the food, it isn't going to pass out the colon, and cause problems like IBS, and UC.
If you drink Green Smoothies, you won't be constipated, and there's a damn good chance you will eliminate any IBS, or UC.
When Smooties were first mentioned to me, they didn't sound all that good, but I kind of like them, and I know I am getting nutrients that I wasn't getting before.
Go for it.
