Hey Splash:
I'm unclear. Why are you taking ParaGone? Do you have reason to believe (symptoms/evidence) that you have a parasitic infection? Does the product not provide an answer regarding flushes, pregnancy, etc., either on the box or on the website? Surely this company has a site. The product is everywhere.
Frankly, once I realized I had even a (not-so) simple Candida problem (diagnosed - polysystemic) I realized that I could not even think about getting pregnant until it was WAY under control, behind me.
When I later was diagnosed with an underlying parasitic infection, I realized I will probably never be able to give birth. But my health situation is palpably "not good", and I am 38.
I suppose the question I have is: If you believe you are experiencing problems from
parasites to the extent that you are taking anti-helmetic herbs (Paragone), do you think it is wise to attempt to get pregnant at this time? Could your difficulty thus far be symptomatic of something microbial related? What has your doctor offered toward your "complications"?
Most doctors will not recognize, know how to recognize, or want to recognize a microbial issue unless it's in his/her "textbook". I would encourage you to meet with a naturopath to better understand your body, what might be ailing you (if anything - your post leaves me w several unknowns), what you can do about it, and probably quite a bit about how to give birth in the healthiest of physical conditions - for your sake and that of your child's.
I made a very difficult but precise decision that I would not infect a child. This could mean, for me, that I will never be a biological mother - my time is potentially too short, but we shall see. I suspect my issues are greater in complexity or degree of infection than what you might be living with, but I say this only because I do not know how you arrived at the use of such a product.
The anti-helmetic pharm companies (drugs) expressly state that they are not to be used by women expecting to get pregnant or who are pregnant. This could quite possibly extend to the herbal approach. I would refer to Humaworm for more answers. I would search the forum using keyword "pregnancy" and such.
All must be put in context, relativity, etc. My words are NOT of discouragement. They are intended to encourage you to understand your body and its current state better. You will gain insight by reading as much as possible (might want to pick up one or both of these two books: Guess What Came to Dinner and The
parasite Menace - GWC2D is a super easy read.), researching all you can, and quite likely much much more about your personal condition via a consult and some testing with a GOOD or reccommended ND.
It is not only your body we are talking about - it is the (lifelong) health of your future child. This is very serious business in my book.
