My niece had her wisdom teeth extracted 3 months ago and everything seemed fine. Now she has a lump in her neck on one side and she says the pain resonates to the top of her shoulder. I am guessing this must be some sort of infection inside, and I'm wondering if anyone else has gone through this and what suggestions anyone can give me on this. I'm guessing that if she goes to the doc, she may be given Antibiotics , but am wondering if there is something here people have done for this.
Thanks for any suggestions.

This is a reply to # 860,198I would say without a doubt it has caused an infection. Do you have any biologic dentists in your area? She may need checking out by one of them experienced in this. They may need to open up the area and clean it out properly. She may need Antibiotics yes, but if there is an ongoing problem there, she'll need the area open, checked and cleaned, as well as Antibiotics Im sure.

this could be very serious-life threatening! could be a lymph issue and toxemia may result.
