Just some background first. About a year and a half ago I had an ultrasound that discovered I had fatty liver. After that though many dr.'s said to lose weight and have put me on multiple statins. All the statins had somewhat worked but not to the results that they wanted. It never made my good high enough and my bad low enough. I had never took loosing weight serious enough. He perscribed me Vytorin which did do the lowering and raising but threw my enzymes off. At least that is the first time any dr. had mentioned them to me. Recently I had some more blood work done. He took me off all statins a few months back to bring me back to the beginning and this last blood work did result in some elevations which did not surprise me initially. They were elevated before but have since gone even higher. I didn't even ask the numbers last time I left the dr's office so freaked out. I have done Liver Cleanses in the past, about 2 but have not done it again in a very long time, probably 6-9 months ago was the last one. I just had a hepititis test done this A.M. and am going on the 8th for another ultrasound. I am very scarred and am trying to think positively but for me that is very hard to do. My uncle died years ago from liver cancer and I keep thinking family history and/or a tumor, benine or not. I am only 39. I don't want this to happen obviously but my sister suggests that I do another liver cleanse this week and every 2 weeks following. Also she is sending me something through the mail and I was thinking of doing a detox or direutic tea. I already take Milk Thistle, fish oil, garlic and red yeast rice. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding this or any insight?
