Tinactin will work as will Tea Tree Oil and Oil of Oregano. I've also read a number of posts recommending gentian violet. I haven't tried it, but it's also recommended by Merck to treat resistant fungus and yeast (ringworm is a fungus):

You might also want to search "ringworm" in the Curezone search box since Curezone has a support forum for ringworm with excellent information. It's not as active as other forums, though, so you have to conduct a specific search to find the information in it.

Not sure if you still need advice since April. I recently got ringworm or something like it. It started off with only one ring and then it spread like fire. I got a over the counter prescription from my doctor for lotriderm cream but I never filled it. I tried the Gentian Violet instead which worked like a charm. Right away the spreading came to a halt. Got that under control and the rest of what was there took a few days to clam down..lets say I found relief right away even though not that itchy but a nuisance enough. The gentian violet is very messy but I found that rubbing alcohol takes the colour away. So after a few weeks of using the Gentian Violet, I cleaned off the area with the rubbing alcohol which also made it feel great. Then I could see it was healing and going away. However I don't trust this ringworm or whatever fungus it is. I keep up with the cleaning with the rubbing alcohol daily. There are still some spots and some irrantant areas so I have my fingers cross. I feel the worst is over and its taken a month since the initial finding of the first spot.
