I have the answer to the first part of your question. I just went and measured a tablespoon of Epsom Salt on a scale and it weighed 14 grams. 965mg is almost 1 gram. So you would need 14 capsules to equal 1 tablespoon.

ive had good results w/ capsules. BMs came as frequent as if i had drank the ES mix but without the vile taste.

i've packed my own capsules using the cap-m-quick system. ive read on this forum that 10 x 000 caps = 1Tbsp. i'll have to weigh it to verify but it worked for me. i took a total of 40 caps for one LF. you may consider capping your own ES since the price of the Clark pills can add up.

The tamping tool is a waste of money so you can skip that. It's used to pack in powder, so it doesnt work w/ ES crystals.

I get the 00 caps at the health-food store and it takes 10 caps to hold 1 T salts. Put a lot of Epsom Salts into a container, count out your capsules, and scoop salt into the large end and then put the small end on -- takes about 2 minutes.

I felt the same way you did........
I did my first flush and will NEVER, EVER drink the ES again. It is way worse than you imagine.
I thought I could drink anything but this stuff changed my thoughts about that!!
