Hello,
I have a question regarding Dr. Clark's protocols and plumbing. I've read that she recommends PVC pipes over copper. This makes perfect sense to me. I'm aware that a trend in housing and the plumbing industry these days is to use PEX piping for new applications, this includes both cold and hot water. From what I understand, PEX is cross-linked high-density polyethelene (HDPE). So it's not exactly HDPE, but it starts out that way. There are a few different methods of cross-linking, which I don't completely understand, but some methods involve a chemical process. I also understand that Dr. Clark also recommends HDPE containers for storing water and liquids, but nowhere does she mention PEX as a form of pipe recommended for home plumbing. Here's the info on PEX

I live in a house with old copper pipes which I'd like to replace soon and I'm wondering if PEX would be equivalent to PVC? If not, I can certainly use PVC, but this is more expensive and time consuming due to the extra measuring and cementing.
Also, I noticed on the Dr Clark Store that they are advertising a whole-house water filter:

From what I understand Dr. Clark has never endorsed and sort of whole house filter. I'm just curious if anybody else can confirm that this situation has changed? A whole house filter would be nice, but I want to make sure this is for real before I spend megabucks!
Thanks,
Ryan
