While reading your post, I got a hot flash. I can relate to your story. The odor comes from my head though and it really smells bad and travels across the room.
I am assuming you are in menopause. When menopause began, I developed an odor. My underarms in 2004 were wicked. Then when I started taking bio identical hormones, vaginal odor dominated, although I felt great. I discontinued the hormones and the underarm odor came back and the vaginal odor disappeared. Through cleansing,
colonics and diet (organic only), the underarm odor subsided. I now use Trimedica SilvaFresh and have not been burdened with underarm odor.
Now for the hotflashes, someone posted that putting a wet peppermint teabag underarm and securing it with surgical tape helped. She seemed to think this stopped the hotflashes. You might also try going to Susun Weed's site to find an herb that might help you.
I am totally against hormone replacement and think it would be best to ride it out. Hormone replacement just postpones the symptoms. I say get it over with!
To maintain some control over the odor, I bought tea tree oil wipes from the Body Shoppe and carry them everywhere I go as well as deodorant. I also take an extra top/shirt just in case and I layer. I also use aromatherapy that promotes hormonal balance. Drink lots of water, try yoga, deep breathing...
Best to you.
