Is it normal to have lots of short, blonde, fine hairs down the sides of the face? I freaked out when I first noticed this on my face... but then I read that a lot of girls have this. But I went to my doctor about it, because I also in the past few months grew hair on my chest and hands (definitely seems like a hormonal imbalance to me?)... and when I showed him the side of my face, he said, "Oh, I see what you mean." So that got me worried again that's it not normal. I don't think it's very noticeable though. I can only see it if I look REALLY close up in the mirror, in bright lighting.
I am 20 years old BTW.

Its called 'peach fuzz', all women have fine hair follicles below the skin surfaces of their face. Hair follicles are tiny openings in the skin where hair is produced. There are millions of hair follicles covering the human body, and the number of follicles each person has is set at birth.
The facial hair growth is completely normal and natural. The color and thickness of naturally growing hair is mostly determined by heredity. If the women in your family have dense, dark, facial hair growth, you may have it as well. - Re: I don't know if this is normal o... #23955

MoreThis is a reply to # 758,236Remember that there's a wide range of normality and that most women get hairier (especially around the face) as they get older and estrogen levels begin to decrease.
