Hi there
I do apologise this answer is soooo late.
I hadnt seen it.
The last few months have been taken up with financial matters and job hunting. Happy to say that well on the way to fixing them.
Re: the coconut oil and threelac treatment for BV (or yeast infections)
Several months ago I realised I had BV again, I did go to our local family planning centre to get checked out and the Doctor confirmed that I had recently had BV but there were no signs at that time, except that the ph in my vagina was too alkaline. The doctor offered me a course of
Antibiotics but I refused them, she did also ask how I had cured the infection myself and I explained what I had used.
I havent had a recurrence of BV since. That may also be due to taking threelac or other probiotics orally.
The reason the BV was no longer present was due to using threelac and coconut oil.
I began with smearing virgin coconut oil and threelac powder on a tampon. Not as easy as it sounds.
I then dissolved some of the threelac powder in a little pure water and used a syringe to inject into the vagina then insert a tampon, or first dipped the tampon into the solution then inserted it and later adding coconut oil with a fresh tampon.
It took less than a week to clear the BV.
Just last week I realised I had a yeast infection, not taken any probiotics for a while, lack of financial resources and having read the bad things about threelac havent bought it for a while.
However, I did have one sachet left, thank goodness, I used it to treat the yeast infection, and within two days the infection cleared...... despite its bad press I think I may go back to buying threelac, it never did me any harm in the year or more I have used it so I think I will heed my own counsel.
Of course you could try acidophilos or other probiotics in the same way as I used threelac, if they work all good. If not, you can buy trial packs of threelac.
Good luck and I do hope this isnt too late.
Let me know how you get on.
