Greetings.
The reason I'm writing this short description of my experience purchasing a zapper, is because of the negative nature of reviews (albeit 2-3 years old) regarding the manufacturer/distributor with domain name zapperguy.com. This, coupled with the excessive amount of misrepresentation on the part of unscrupulous sellers and scam artists in an attempt to make a quick buck, which seems to be prevalent everywhere in the alternative health arena. Perhaps my experience will aid others in avoiding scamsters in favour of reputable sellers/manufacturers/distributors.
Recently in the market for a zapper, I did a search for "zapper" on eBay, and there was one seller who was selling a variety of zapper models, very professionally made as a number of images showed. The detailing on the casing indicated "www.zapperguy.com". These zappers were made with surface mounted components on a PCB in a professional facility, complete with high quality casing and connections. The workmanship looked quite impressive. But what was even more impressive was the price-point. What appeared to me to be similar quality zappers (only a couple others that I could find), were selling for $150 or more. However, this individual was selling his zappers for less than $60, with the most affordable model (fewer features) just below $30. Having done some research towards building my own and the components required, I appreciated the higher quality components that he indicated were used in the manufacturing process. One place where many manufacturers can skimp.
One poster on this site claims to have had a bad experience with zapperguy.com by dealing directly through this website. Judging from the quality of the products advertised by this seller on eBay (many pictures of exterior and interior views) and the positive feedback of many buyers, I felt something wasn't quite right. I spoke with the seller (who holds the zapperguy.com domain name) and he was quite adamant that he has never had a zapper website operational, and only holds the domain name for possible future use. Further inquiries and dealings with this seller led me to conclude he was an honest, quality obsessed individual with a great deal of integrity, who takes his work very seriously.
I asked a couple more questions and, satisified, decided to buy the top model ($59.95US) with 3 settings: 30Khz, 2.5Khz, and 15Hz + wriststraps. And for an additional $13US I could get wire leads and copper hand-holds. In the end, I was very surprised as I got a great deal more than I bargained for, all at no additional cost:
Zapper Z4e (30KHz, 2.5KHz, 15Hz, high powered stabilized wave) + conductive wrist straps & leads
Zapper C3i (30KHz) + leads + copper hand-holds
Mini Zapper (30KHz, incl. attached leads for copper hand-holds)
(All models indicate a square wave, positive offset, 50% duty cycle.)
Now this is how to run a business! Not to mention fast shipping, and good correspondence. I would happily do business again with this seller, and heartily recommend his products.
As for the original poster and criticism of zapperguy.com, I can only conclude that either s/he has made an honest mistake, confusing one seller/web site for another, or that this is a ploy on the part of a competitor. One can never be too sure these days.
Best regards.
