For those of you who followed Lucky's progress over the last few months: we are nearing the end. Lucky is ready to cross over and I am waiting for nature to take its course. Thankfully she is completely pain free but she is growing tired and lethargic. I am praying that her heart will give out, as I know it is meant to be.
We had 4 1/2 wonderful years together and the last 5 1/2 months we have been trying to beat the odds. Unfortunately it was not meant to be.

How wonderful to have had Lucky in your life to have inspired such deep feelings, such courage, such loving kindness.
We all have a need for an outlet for a capacity to love, and that is one of the great gifts Lucky provided you with.

MoreThis is a reply to # 734,469Thank you for writing. It is never easy, we have been there several times and since our dog is getting old every year we are wondering will this be the year. It is so important to keep them comfortable.
