I tried testing my cream on my refractometer and it didn't come out right.
I didn't see any blue at all!
Could you explain why this happened.
I love my refractometer! One of my best discoveries yet!
By the way, would it be advisable to take the full detox baths with an acidic ph or should I do the foot baths just to be on the safe side?

"IF" the brix reading was greater than 32 brix, then you may not be able to read the scale, I do not know if this was your problem with the little info you provided, but you may find out by diluting the cream in half with distilled water and try testing it again!
"IF" you are very Acidic , then it may be Best to take it slow with the Detox Full baths and to start out with the foot baths first and then work into the full baths starting with only a 5 min first soak and work up to the 30 min!

I've done about 3 of them so far using 3 cups ES, 2 cups Baking Soda with 1 pint of 3% H2O2 added in as I enter the tub. Sweating never felt so good! Up to 25 minutes...circulation is enhanced for several hours!

I put a few drops of raw cream on and I did not see the normaly white and blue of the scale. I also tested olive oil and the same thing happened. There was no distinction between blue and white. It looked as if the blue and the white had mixed together to make a kinda of blurry bluish-white. If that makes sense.
I don't have the cream anymore because I stopped eating it since it made me gain uneeded weight. But I do have the olive oil.
Do you know why it would happen with the olive oil? Someone with a brix said that their test were clear when they tested olive oil.
I will try testing dilluted oil right now and report back.

It showed a brix of zero. As if I had just put water on it.

First of all is is very difficult to dilute an oil with water to get a correct test!
Next, the olive oil probably tests over 32 brix and so you would need a different scaled refractometer to test it properly!
I just took my refractometer and tested some olive oil I have here, and it tested above 32 brix, how much I do not know, for I do not have a higher scale Refractometer with me now!

on something it doesn't mean much (no offense) if she's using a 0-32 brix Re.?
I have really wondered about these *diluted* and multiplied (high) readings.
I mean, if the brix is off the scale of your instrument, then what are you reading?

oil and water, yes I see the problem.
However, I was thinking olive oil = fruit of olive.
fruit->>brix...and then compound it with the "off-the-scale" reading
hence perhaps, my confusion.
Does it seem that I am overcomplicating things?
