MoreThis is a reply to # 727,149yup, eats straight through the skin (or rather, since its constantly flowing, simply keeps it from growing at all right on the spots).
sometimes the skin managed to heal over it, in which case it simply spreads underneath faster (look at the "saliva peel" pic in the gallery), and thus speeds up the cycle~

This is a reply to # 727,253yah, thus marking the biopsy scar. Spot right by the scar stays on about a day longer than the rest of the lip atm, but its such a small spot that it just sticks with the rest of the lip skin anyway...
doc that did the biopsy mention that i had "an unusual number of saliva glands", but didnt think they had anything to do with it.
Next appointment with yet another doc on the 15th, and from talking to him last time i'll probably be forwarded to the hospital again (to err..."jaw surgical" or something this time. Was in the ear, nose & throat section last time. Appearently these are the people i shouldve been sent to) with a request to having em removed. So hopefully within a month or two i'll have that done.

This is a reply to # 727,149Mayu…That saliva thing is crazy. My lips have, at times, looked like the pictures you’ve posted, but I don’t think that saliva beading thing is happening. A bubble forms, but it’s dry underneath (like an air pocket). Has the beading happened from the very start of the pealing? Maybe the saliva glands were damaged either as a result of the trauma that initiated the peeling or after the fact, through some additional trauma (like peeling, biting, biopsy’s, etc.). I really hate how this peeling condition seems to have so many damn variables and small differences :(

This is a reply to # 727,259I'm honestly not sure wether the saliva was a factor from the start or not...Everything happens gradually~
Saliva glands becoming damaged somehow (not by the biopsy though, noticed this long before that) is quite possible. But in which case i'd except a mucuccele (sp) or something, not just saliva starting to pop out on the outside of the lip...

This is a reply to # 727,149Oh, almost forgot: you might want to have the beading stuff analyzed by a lab. It looks like the fluid is pretty thick/sticky, possibly meaning that it’s some type of lymphatic discharge.- Re: att: mayu Mayu

This is a reply to # 727,263I have had 2 biopsies, the second in which he mainly focused on the removal of a few saliva glands and had them checked out.
Found nothing out of the ordinary.
