Ah, but the issue is more complicated than that. You say women have the right to choose, all sorts of nasty things, like be a stripper, and then, you speak morality? I ask you all, please help me understand what is moral and immoral? In your scenario, being a stripper is moral, and having an abortion is immoral? Is that right? And you talk about choice quite a lot, but you strip away the choice of one of the most personal of all bodily functions for women. Quite a paradox, really.
Then you bring up another interesting comment about contraception. We've had quite a few, very long threads, about that already. The proper education and use of contraceptives would ensure that abortion was not necessary. Why do women have sex without using contraceptives? Who knows, could be a million reasons? But people in the past on this forum seem to think that, the most well know, easiest accessed and affordable clinic, Planned Parenthood, is some kind of satanic cult. Planned Parenthood is there, first and foremost, to educate young people on how not to get pregnant. It's a safe place for young women to go and get the information they need. Yes, they are pro-choice also. They do not perform the abortions themselves, but refer out when needed. However they are firebombed, and picketed, and a host of other atrocities, when they are there, firstly, to PREVENT pregnancy. How are young people supposed to get birth control if they have to pass a long line of people holding pictures of dead fetuses? Sort of sounds like a self defeating effort, at best. In small towns, it might be a friends mother standing outside that clinic.
People kill tons of innocent people every day. In car accidents, murder, supporting companies with world health violations, war, spraying pesticides on food, doctors prescribing lethal medicine, errors of judgment, so on and so forth. We are an organism, sometimes beautiful, sometimes quite foul.
