Thanks for the encouraging comments everyone! Getting through the first 3-5 days is the key to a successful fast. Just focus on getting past that, and you'll do it! I drink the Smooth Move tea to keep my eliminations happening, and organic mint teas occasionally.
I am hoping to lose the first 50
pounds through fasting, and then lose the other 30-40 with a high raw, small portion diet. I have lost up to 38
pounds before, but because it's so hard to get restarted, I am just going to go for the long fast this time, and break through the 200 pound barrier. In fact, I'm going far enough below 200 that I won't EVER see it again!
You can do it. Just keep your perspective, and remember that 20 days without eating is really not that long. Think about how many days you have eaten without giving your body a break. It deserves the rest, and it will repay you by cleaning house!
