I just paid $200 for a Terminator, I live in Austalia, so with the exchange rate and postage, this is what it came too...I was a little surprised, when it arrived it looked like a black box with some coins stuck on it! I have to say though it really does seem to be working, so don't be put off by appearances...

Don Croft, who makes the Terminator zapper, is a great guy, but I think there are two problems with his units:

1. The contacts are FAR too small, and cause skin burns because the current density is too high. Each contact should be about 4 square inches, but he uses US pennies, which cause burns and corrode to zinc. No provisions are made for plug-in wires to enable use of other contacts.

2. The direct metal-to-skin contact he recommends is risky, according to Dr. Clark. Copper (and the zinc beneath it in the pennies) will be driven into the skin by the current flow of the zapper. This is NOT a good thing. That is one reason Dr. Clark insists on the use of paper towel around the handhold pipes for zappers. The other reason she insists on paper towel is to provide a moisture reservoir to ensure continuing good conductivity at the contact/skin interface. Dry skin as used with the Terminator again leads to current concentration and burns.
