Immediately after the September 11, 2001 (9/11) attacks upon America, Muslim public-relations groups were quick to come to the defense of Islam as a religion of "peace" and not a religion of terror. The groups stated that such actions were not representative of true Islam but were the deplorable actions of fanatical Islamic groups who misinterpret the teachings of the Qur'an. One comment by an Islamic representative reportedly suggested on network news that Americans should just put the 9/11 incidents behind them, forget about it and move forward.
Suddenly, Islam came under scrutiny as Muslim groups scrambled to initiate public-relations campaigns that would bring forth all the good and noble teachings that could be quoted from the Qur'an.
Meanwhile, throughout America, various public school systems issued statements to soften the view toward Islam by stating that no religion should be blamed for the attacks of 9/11.
During the summer of 2002, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) initiated a college entrance requirement whereby incoming freshmen were to read and report on a certain publication regarding the "early revelations" of the Qur'an. The publication contained select verses that apparently did not include any of the Qur'anic writings that are related to anti-Semitic and anti-Christian sentiment. (Administrators at UNC obviously failed to realize that Muslims must accept the Qur'an and teachings of Muhammad in their entirety otherwise they are not really "Muslims.") In response, many non-Muslim students objected to the reading assignment. When challenged in the courts, the University did not make the reading assignment mandatory and promptly issued a statement that would allow students to submit a "…one page response" on why they chose not to read the assigned book.
Muslim organizations have since become active in conducting “sensitivity training” and presenting public forums in America’s cities and schools in their attempt to portray Islam as a peaceful religion that has been “hijacked” by extremists. However, as one reads on, it will be quite obvious that terror is in fact rooted within the fundamental teachings of Islam – a fact that should not be hidden nor excused away. Neglecting truth makes way for deception.
Herein are the questionable teachings of a religious ideology that has been spreading its roots throughout the world since the seventh-century in order to become established as the "only" religion that should govern mankind:
"It is he who has sent his messenger with guidance and the religion of truth, to proclaim it over all religion: and enough is Allah for a witness.
(Qur'an: 048.028)
The above verse has become the foundation whereby Muslims believe it is their obligation to carry out Muhammad's proclamation to the world that Islam is "the only religion for mankind." Therefore, all other religions are to be subdued and brought under submission to Islam - even through terror:
"...I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them. (Qur'an 008.012)
According to the Qur'an, Muslims are not allowed to befriend Jews nor Christians. With such separatist ideology, peace on earth is not possible:
"O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors of each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them..."
(Qur'an: 005.051
<my question to you is simple - how would you go about healing this situation and creating peace? by killing them all in war? really, how would you do it?>
There are no Christians in this world now fighting wars in the name of God. But, there are jihads all over the world killing in the name of allah, and believing the whole world must believe in islam, and live in a world dominated by sharia law.
Can peace exist with that mentality? Can there be a starting point for peace, in view of the muslim teachings?
"O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors of each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them..."
(Qur'an: 005.051
"Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful (Proverbs 27:6).
""There are no Christians in this world now fighting wars in the name of God.""

"Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them who despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? Do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your bretheren only, what do ye more than others? Do not even the publican so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." (Matthew: 5: 43-47[sic])
So why is it that when I use this simple passage to illustrate the identical point about tolerance of Muslims and everyone else, I am faulted for not understanding what is meant, but when a Christian uses it to fault Muslims for their intolerance, it's OK?
Hypocrisy is alive and well, I see.
