This is a reply to # 638,045I think you are misunderstanding the point that we are trying to make. Let me explain it to you as I understand. This is only my understanding that I am sharing with the intent of being of service to others. I matters not if you agree with me. I am simply sharing my own experience. Please do not feel that I am trying to force you in to agreeing. You have to make your own decisions in life. That is the law of free will.
The point is, that we are all God, each and every one of us. That when God created the world, he infused his essence in to every aspect of the creation so that he could experience himself on all sorts of different levels.
As people, we have a choice to be either positive, by being of service to others or negative, by being of service to ourselves. However, with either decision we are still serving God, because it's all God. It must be said though, that the positive path is more efficient simply because it is based on the understanding that we are all one even though that understanding may not be of a conscious nature...if that makes sense.
The negative path is service to self and seeing oneself as separate from the rest of creation, separate from God. One cannot follow that path directly back to God because at some point, to be truly aware they must realize that all is one.
And to answer the original question that you posted, the bad things that happen in our lives are simply catalysts for change.
I know it is kind of complicated, and I am not the best at verbalizing my thoughts. But I hope this makes some sense. Please let me know if I can clarify.- Let me break it Down Even Further

This is a reply to # 638,043We are the ones responsible for our sins. There is no way around it. This is the whole concept of the bible. We either choose to follow Gods will or not. If we are true believers we will follow it but 'chrisitan' or not we are still subject to the same Judgement. there is a whole misconception of 'jesus Dying for our Sins'

Jesus came to bring the jews back to the true religion that God had set for them. In actuality is was quite simple. Obey the commandments...Including the First and most important one... believe that there is no other God than God and worship no other besides God. Is that difficult? Noooooo... its very simple and natural. But over time they bastadized the religion, made it difficult for people to follow and punished people that didnt follow it according to thier standards (not GODS!)
This is what Jesus came to correct. He tells us that the way to heaven is by following the commandments. Why would Jesus spen 33 yrs pearching and enduring proverty and torment if he just came here to "die for our sins". This wasnt the mission of Jesus. He came here to teach us how to save ourselves! Christians completely took this out of context now they can do what ever they please right or wrong and they will still go to heaven because jesus "died for their sins". Does that make sense to anyone with logic?- The problem with that idea is Klyd

If you are saying that the bible says that homosexuality is forbidden and that we in in society should condem it because it is commanded in the bible and THEN you tell me that the bible says "we are delivered from the law" and the "requirements that were against us has been wiped out".
DO WE OBEY THE LAW OR NOT?
In other words you are saying that we dont need to obey the law of God expressed in the bible UNLESS it suits our needs? I suppose YOUR need is to feel superior to homosexuals.. or something sick like that.
Getting back to your posted scritures... YES we were delivered from the law... BUT NOT GODS LAW!!! jesus came to deliver us from the law imposed upon the jews. The man made laws that made religion hard and oppressive!...
Jesus came to bring us BACK to the LAW of GOD not away from it..

good post Jaynee, my thoughts as well regarding the law.
I doubt you will get answer from Klyd. When challenged he either retreats for awhile or cuts and pastes somewhere.
It truly would be nice to have some real communication with him or others without their fear and defensiveness. We are not trying to convince or convert anyone to our "side". Just to widen everyone's understanding as to where we are all coming from!!
