Raider,
There is a toxins and detox forum in there, somewhere. I know that I purchased a Zorijushi rice cooker because it was recommended By B_OB or somebody as a healthier alternative to the teflon coated aluminum types. However I do not remember what forum it was that was dealing with cooking utensils.
I have recently gotten rid of all my teflon stuff and I am just keeping one small pan around for occasional use. I purchased a 9 piece set by Martha *Good-Thing* Stewart, and its 18/10 Stainless Steel with a copper bottom on the outside for greater heat conductivity. I purchased it at Target for about $90.00. I strongly considered Wolfman's, but it included many more pieces than I thought I would need. If I had to pick the best, I would probably go with the Farberware Millenium Stainless Steel, but the price made Martha's a better choice for me.
Oh yeah, I recently also purchased a steam cooker at Target for $30, which is quite nice. It's all plastic and has a timer, so you can decide wether you want your veggies crisp or soggy. It's also a nice way to re-heat food without having to nuke.
Ali :-D
