...different strokes to rule the world, yes it does
It take different strokes to rule the world.
Oh yes, I am using cheezy 80's sitcom lyrics to prove my point, but please hear me out nonetheless.
I'm writing in regard to the debate over the
Debate Forums . In my humble opinion, spirituality and politics go hand and hand with health and healing. Spirituality, for obvious reasons, and politics because they do shape the world we live in. With that said, I do find that some of the
Debate Forums have been a little nasty lately and I have been steering clear myself. I don't think that completely nixing them is going to solve the problem however. I think it would help to have moderators who stand up and say "Hey, these are the guidelines. We are going to treat each other with respect regardless of our differences in beliefs or else you are not welcome here". Period. No spamming, no cut and paste testimonials (even if the people that are posting them are in line with the moderators belief system). We do this in the
Support Forums (i.e. Em and her
Liver Flush doubts) and it seems to work well. Yes, the
Debate Forums are for debate, but we still need to treat each other respectfully.
Curezone is about health. But isn't it also about POSITIVITY, ACCEPTANCE, and GROWTH. If moderators aren't going to do that, consistently, then who will? All of you are different and have different gifts and areas of expertise and that is what makes curezone so unique. The bottom line is that if the moderators and veterens don't show respect and acceptance, then I don't know how anyone else is expected to. Let's keep Curezone as a place of respite and leave the fighting and pettiness to Quackwatch. We are better than all of that.
Peace and love to all of you!
