Dear Andreas, I have just had a root canal extraction about a week ago so I am now left with a puncture wound healing in my mouth.When the tooth was extracted there was infection under it even though it looked absolutely fine on xray. A week later I am still in pain there is a lot of heat on my jaw bone so I imagine it is still a bit infected eventhough I thouroughly clean it with sea salt water.
I have tried a homeopathic remedy to help with the infection but I dont think its working, my dentist has now suggested antibiotics which I really dont want to take , however the pain is a little much to bear after a week of it.Any suggestions?

Also I am suffering with chronic fatigue syndrome and the dentist said that this is probably why I am not healing as well because of my immune system problems.I am scared of making the cfs worse by taking antibiotics, so do you think this will eventually clear on its own or not?

P>S I was trying to help myself by having this tooth out as it came up positive for removal on a kinesiology test , now I think I regret it.
