What is your protein source...since you're not eating beef, chicken or pork? If you're using soy...it has its own set of problems!
Increase your intake of low carb vegetables...and use additional fiber, if necessary. High protein, low carb diets often do not contain enough fiber which provides the bulk necessary to keep the bowel muscle toned and peristalsis strong. Also...make sure to drink plenty of water when using fiber to keep things moving! The combination of fiber and water is the key to strengthening the bowel muscle!
In addition...make sure that you have enough good oil in your diet...it stimulates bile flow which is the body's natural laxative.
And avoid taking laxatives...they will make your problem worse! Vit C and magnesium can both produce laxative-like effects without the problems associated with herbs like senna...colonics or enemas are also a good alternative. A series of
colonics can also reverse a 'lazy' colon...acts like a mini internal resistance exercise for the bowel muscle.
